Pittsburgh East Rotary Club (PERC) is a dynamic group of professionals and leaders dedicated to community service in Pittsburgh and the world.
With just the right mixture of youth and experience, the members of the PERC are engaged in wonderful service projects at the local, regional, national, and global levels. Our favorite local project is cooking & serving meals each month at the East End Cooperative Ministries shelter.
We do this in addition to our contributions to the goals of Rotary International. These include the End Polio Campaign, Rotary Peace Fellowships, Little Community Libraries, Community Corps, Youth Exchanges, the New Generations Service Exchange, and Rotary Grants and Scholarships.
Our mentoring work in the KIVA program for low-income entrepreneurs is extensive. In the wider world, we support such things as the Eco-Soap Bank in Indonesia, which saves, sanitizes, and supplies recycled soap in the developing world, and the Cameroon Football Development Program, whose mission is to improve the lives of youth in Africa through the game of soccer.
PERC has recently started meeting in person again!
